What are Direct Payments?
If you have been assessed as needing support from West Berkshire Council Community Care to live in the community, the Council can offer you cash payments instead of arranging or providing the services for you. This can be for the help you need for personal care, in the home, or respite. This means that you could organise support from people or services of your own choice, at a time which suits you, and in a way you find is necessary to meet your needs.
