Transport
Some of the links on the left will take you directly to the operators website, others to our information pages
Newbury Buses offer virtually no wheelchair accessible transport, but for those people with other disabilities, there is a direct link on the left.
Wheelchair users are probably best accessing the community transport, either Handybus or Readibus.
Please note that the Handybus needs a few days notice to prepare particular journey request. Readibus provide a "Dial-a-Ride" service which means that you can book a journey on the day you wish to travel.
There are several Accessible taxis operating in the area, which give excellent door to door service, but these obviously can be more expensive.
There are also various car schemes for the ambulant disabled.
There is a link to Gowrings and Motaility for those wishing to purchase a Wheelchair accessible Vehicle, and also disabled driver links.
