Getting Equipment and Wheelchairs
It is probably best to have the backing of a Care Manager if you need equipment or a wheelchair. Unless of course you have sufficient funding to buy privately - even so it would be best to get an assessment from an OT.

Berkshire Community Equipment Service (Berksability)
Berkshire Community Equipment Service maintains a stock of general items of equipment which is available through social services. On site there is a wide range of equipment for people to view. The assessment areas consist of bed/sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. All rooms are wheelchair accessible with toilets for disabled people. A part-time Occupational Therapist is available for assessment by appointment. THEY DO NOT SELL EQUIPMENT DIRECT TO THE PUBLIC
